Features of the Laird Coaxial Cables
These coaxial cables boast enhanced attenuation characteristics that enable the transport of 12G signals at much greater distances than comparable-sized coax. They are fully compliant with SMPTE ST-2082-1 and are hand-crafted with Canare L-5.5CUHD miniature coaxial and BCP-D55UHD BNC connectors. With a superb return loss at 12 GHz of 15 dB, 20 dB @ 6 GHz, and 26 dB @ 3 GHz, these cables are perfect for 12G, 6G, and 3G systems. Laird certifies this cable to work at a maximum transmission distance of 250 Feet for 12G-SDI, even though Canare may show this distance as 300 Feet. To meet the Laird max transmission standard, signal integrity must remain 100% functional without any CRC errors. Your 12G-SDI ST 2082 signals may function at or beyond the manufacturer-certified lengths without issues; however, when CRC errors are present, there could be drops in audio, video, meta, and ancillary data. In most circumstances, video integrity remains intact at OEM distance.
