For decades, legendary vocalists used the AKG C535 to bring their voices to the world. Last year, we redesigned that classic mic to bring you the AKG C636-the all-new master reference condenser microphone for live vocals. Now, with the C636 WL1 we've taken the same advances found in the C636, and incorporated them into a wireless head for AKG DMS800 and WMS4500 systems.

The C636 WL1 proprietary double shock suspension system greatly reduces handling noise, even during the most energetic on-stage performances. Its capsule sits on a highly absorbent rubber bearing, eliminating any structure-based noise, while an adjustable balancing network cancels vibrations over a wide frequency range. In addition, a substantial brass layer below the capsule serves as a counterweight that increases stability and delivers cleaner acoustics.
