Description

Introducing the Yamaha FGX830C Traditional Western Body Solid Spruce Top Acoustic/Electric Guitar
Derived from the FG830, which features a solid spruce top and rosewood back/sides, the FGX830C presents a cutaway body and an electric system. Yamaha's under-saddle piezo pickup and System66 analog preamp ensure reliable, amplified performance.

A Legendary Beginning
Since its debut in 1966, the FG demonstrated that a high-quality acoustic guitar doesn't have to break the bank. With an emphasis on playability, musical tone, and exceptional craftsmanship, the original FG180 became a timeless classic. Now, 50 years since the inception of FG Acoustics, its tone has only improved. So, regardless of where you are in your musical journey, it all starts here!

Innovative Bracing
Thanks to cutting-edge acoustic analysis technology from the Yamaha R&D Division, the FG/FGX Series offers a louder and more robust sound in the low-to-mid ranges. Yamaha engineers achieved this by employing analysis and simulation to determine the best bracing design, resulting in the scalloped bracing pattern. This ideal acoustic structure maintains the top board's durability while enhancing sound quality.

A Legacy of 50 Years
The Yamaha FG Series was introduced in 1966 with the launch of the FG180 and FG150. Since then, we have crafted multiple generations of FG guitars, establishing FG as the preferred choice for modern players.

Variety and Versatility
From two body shapes, including the concert-size FS, to five grades with various tonewood options, a wide range of color choices, and acoustic or acoustic-electric models, the FG offers something for every playing style.
