The G66SCE Spalt Maple is a Grand Auditorium style acoustic/electric guitar that features a Venetian cutaway to provide superior upper fret access. One of the highlights of the Comfort Series is the deluxe re-curve style ergonomic armrest bevel at the lower bout, which becomes part of the mahogany top binding. The guitar has a solid Western Red Cedar top and Spalted Maple back and sides, mahogany/maple bound body and headstock. The mahogany neck has an Ovangkol fingerboard without inlays, which adds to its understated elegance. The Washburn Parquet style rosette is made of alternating maple and mahogany.

The guitar features a maple/mahogany/maple strip that splits the book-matched Spalted Maple back. The headstock displays a mother-of-pearl Washburn logo and 18:1 ratio tuners. The G66SCE Spalt Maple is not only a great sounding guitar but it also is equipped with premium Fishman electronics that make it an outstanding stage performance guitar. The Deluxe recurved ergonomic armrest bevel increases the playing comfort on this larger Grand Auditorium body guitar. Deluxe recurved armrest models feature additional trim and miter handiwork throughout the body and bridge.
